Michele Filgate's HIDEAWAY with Elisabeth Donnelly, Kaitlyn Greenidge, Tobias Carroll, and Robin Wasserman
This month’s Hideaway Salon features a wonderful blend of fiction and nonfiction. Elisabeth Donnelly’s most recent essay, “Vertical Descent” (Virginia Quarterly Review), is a stunning exploration of synchronized swimming. Tobias Carroll’s short fiction is a captivating blend of haunting and profound. Robin Wasserman’s forthcoming novel, GIRLS ON FIRE, is a fierce, visceral look at the dark side of adolescents and female friendship. And Kaitlyn Greenidge’s debut novel, WE LOVE YOU, CHARLIE FREEMAN is 'an urgently necessary story about race, language, and history.'" - Michele Filgate, HIP Lit Guest Curator
